Yes, we have all noticed by now the changing of the month and the slight remaining snow flurries that have mustered through yesterday, hidden from the sun’s rays. For me it means sorting out Christmas albums, hauling in the tote box of decorations and taking the plastic wrapping off my advent calendar.
Before I get started on untangling lights and garland I decided to grab a quick lunch aa I have found that when I feel hungry eating is a must…it can’t be put off for an hour or two like pre-pregnancy state. So here I sit with a leftover bowl of tomato soup and cheese sandwich. I am not happy with myself as I never crave only a ‘cheese’ sandwich, it needs good british Branston Pickle aaannnd I forgot to pick it up a few nights ago. I am actually a bit cranky at the moment as I had been pondering on this sandwich while taking the garbage out and frowned intensely when I remembered by pickle peril. Oh well, can complaints really be had when I have a cozy bowl of soup beside me, a laptop in front of me and heat to warm my toes?
So, as I leave you to fill my belly and then take inventory of our Christmas gear I wish you all a Merry December! May it be filled with exciting anticipation, yummy goodies, calm family gatherings and the opportunity to extend the love of Christ to someone less fortunate.
P.S. If you haven’t picked up a good Christmas album yet, check out Downhere’s “How Many Kings”. Incredible band, incredible album…my favourite for this Christmas 🙂
