Sleeeeeppyy! I have realized that my body actually works better during the week when I am in bed by 830 and up at 5. Strange how this has now become my preferred sleeping schedule! Late nights haunt me the entire next day, even if like today I was able to sleep in a few extra hours.
I am thankful for this transition although I am not sure how well suited it will be come tour time. The past few weekends have been draining on me as they are full days with late nights and lots of emotional energy being exerted the entire time. No complaints here though, I promise, just observations. I am not a happy camper when tired and I pray I can suck up my sleepy feelings and be amicable to all those I am in contact with those late night shows, beginning at my bedtime.
The next few weekends are booked with performances and I am excited to continue worshipping the Lord in preaching and living a no-compromise life. It is encouraging to focus on the purpose at hand and believe we all need to have this sort of motivation constantly…or else we find ourselves drifting off the Christianity shore searching for meaning outside of the Lord.
I caught Ben today rocking out to a song he has written and questioned him concerning the fork in his right hand. He replied mid song phrases, as if I was silly not to have know that this was his guitar. Hahaha I had a wonderful laugh and still giggle about it as I share the story here with you. Enjoy the shot I captured…notice the ‘guitar’. Oh how I love my husband.
Oh and look what was waiting to greet us after the Tigers ball game…*shudder*
