This week/weekend as been filled with interesting experiences that may be too many to share but I’ll quickly share one!
Our 11 PM concert in our pjs. Yes, we had a recently home-bound friend show up on our doorstep at 11 PM. I was finishing up in the kitchen and Ben was camped out on the couch, both ready to call it a night with a late night snack, a movie and then bed time. Instead we sat up until 2 AM being serenaded by the musical makings of one man. Being tired, hungry and yet patient we sat amazed at the boldness of some human beings and utterly different we are created. I mean, I would never call anyone at 11 let alone show up at the house and stay for 3 hours…who knows, maybe I had recently prayed for patience and the Lord was giving me an opportunity to be a good host when all I wanted to do was zonk out. 🙂
This past weekend was spent at at Toronto beach, swimming in 65 degree water and playing with my wonderful cousins (one from England, one from Canada). We were joined by Doyle, Freeman’s pup and had a great time laughing at the interesting individuals around us…in TO there are many, and on this TO island beach they seemed to be congregating in higher rations then the main land.
Ben in the 65 degree Lake Ontario, Freeman and his ‘spider-dog’ and Doyle licking his chops after a veggie hotdog treat 🙂
I love my life!
