What a fabulously fun weekend!
For Ben’s birthday all he wanted to do was bowl, rock ‘n bowl. So we grabbed the parents and Felicity and headed out to Empire Lanes, keeping them all awake until midnight with our bowling hilarity. Ahaha. I must say Sue, my mother in law is quite the expert bowler who almost doubled my score one game. The men were quite evenly matched, all winning a game in their lane but we women were a bit more focused on catching up with each other’s lives and therefore played one whole less game then the boys. Oh well, the music was partially alright, wouldn’t have minded a bit more ROCK at rock ‘n bowl but life goes on. 🙂
BENBORI has a show coming up in Kitchener this weekend and so rehearsal was called Sunday night. We had some bad news come in from our drummer the day before as he had fallen off an 8′ platform and shattered one heel while fracturing the other ankle. Thankfully Luke, our fill in drummer was up to the challenge and I think practice went remarkably well. Prayers to Justin and props to Luke.
Finally tonight, although not quite the weekend, is game 6. Off to Brad’s for a puck party and hopefully a Stanley Cup to call Canada’s own. Made a special chip run for the big event as these kind of festivities cannot be taken part in on an empty tummy.
The Lord is really revealing to me each day the beautiful things that are surrounding me. Whether it is sitting in a warm ray of sunshine, finishing an incredible book, returning a smile from a stranger or having the time to enjoy a cup of tea while considering the other amazing themes in our lives. Yes life gets complicated and we are not in control of anyone’s actions but our own, yet our Father shines through and is faithful continually.
What a miracle it is just for beauty and peace to be a part of a world that was born into sin.
Bella’s made it pretty tough to type…so I’m out.
Now it’s listening to some worship MuteMath, grabbing a coffee and researching Keytars…if you are selling a Roland AX-1 or 7 or a Korg RK-100 please let me know.
Cheers and find the beauty in your day.
