Yesterday was a hard day. For various reasons I was struggling emotionally and had a little cry by myself, which we all need every now and then. What made it much better was Ben.
As soon as he walked through the door, actually before that because we met in the laundry room before he went inside, he announced that he was taking me on a date night! I had a tear dribble down my cheek feeling all baby-like inside and wrapped him in a hug.
I had the chance to dress up a bit and we made a quick reservation at Vito’s Pizzeria in Windsor. This is gorgeous, cozy Italian restaurant that I first dined in at a friend’s bachelorette night. The colours are blacks and browns with multiple varying framed photos on the main wall, dimly lit vintage wrought iron chandeliers and an original stone built wood burning stove. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and I loved the buzz of conversation that surrounded us as it was a full house. To close the evening we decided to watch the fourth part in the Pirates of the Carribean series. We ultimately decided that it was on par with the first one for excitement, story line and general entertainment value. We both found the middle two a bit confusing in their plots and neither of us like Keira Knightley as an actress so we hit the jackpot with this one!
To top off everything we woke up to freshly baked muffins from my mum-in-law and possibly may go horseback riding with Felicity! The date just keeps on going. I love Ben.
