“I’m pretty competitive babe” my husband expresses to me as he almost jumps off the couch in celebration of his tying goal on xbox NHL 2010. I love watching him play and feeling his feet move and jerk as if he was skating in for a triple deek. The only frustration is that as I sit to look over my favourite blogs and write one of my own it lags up our wireless a bit. This makes it difficult for a game of hockey to be seriously played through the same wireless system and therefore remarks as the one above are shared in love :).
It has been a lazy Saturday as we partied in the weekend with a late night movie which was shut off early, as always, due to droopy eyelids. We expected to wake up to a phone call from Sam, Ben’s boss, to give instructions for a day of work but when no call came there was therefore no alarm 🙂
Errands were run, paychecks picked up and pizza and coffee to go was ordered. We fed the seagulls at the kingsville dock with our unwanted pizza crusts and watched them proudly dominate their territory with funny neck jerks and puffy feathers.
As we sat in our chevy venture and looked out over Lake Erie which was partially covered by a light mist I imagined it was the cost of England. Why do landscapes and coastlines look so different in our eyes and give us such a sense of peace when we trick our minds to think we are in a faraway land? I could almost smell the air of the seaside, and literally hear the gulls as my eyes reached through the fog to the distance edging of the shoreline. I shared this experience with Ben as we sat in silence fooling our brains and enjoying a mental vacation.
(Our second most recent trip to England…I’m not sure what Mum caught Dad doing haha)
I would really like to find my camera charger or buy a new camera. I want to capture the life Ben and I live in not only words but in images. Gotta bug Dad again about the lithium battery charger…I’m always the one forgetting things haha, maybe I am rubbing off on him a bit.
